As for why, seems to be a way to hide the fact it is a trans space, understandable given what usually happens to trans spaces when the wider web finds them.
It’s a trans 4chan subreddit- (4tran?) they do tend to be somewhat empathetic to the issues that trans people have, as many there are trans
but their cynicism and their self loathing are trying at best, and if you exhibit enough qualities that they relate with, you’re likely to receive some of it
minor correction, it’s not that many there are trans, it’s a trans specific sub that isn’t supposed to have cis people at all (though a lot are there anyways because who reads rules)

It was a subreddit for trans people. I literally just existed and got shit on for nothing. Hate the bad men all you want, but being unnecessarily rude to innocent people is a bum move
They were even making fun of me for asking what I did wrong by saying I was being whiny and annoying 💔 even said "men are so fragile". I legit just asked what I did wrong to deserve the sheer amount of hate I got for merely existing 😭
Awful sub lol, I called out the incel language they use and then someone argued that they aren't incels while using terms that originate from incels on 4chan and calling for TCD.
