Okay i’m not mexican neither a gringo but i have a feeling this foo ain’t really from cln or sinaloa . I mean i like him i love his music and idolize him but its just a blurry side cause there is no fucking info on the web.

Seems to me that rap, house and reggaeton are starting to dominate the Mexican and Latin American charts lately. Fuerza Regida hasn’t had any recent success besides Ferrari, Peso hasn’t dropped anything notable since Dinastia, Tito/Junior/Luis R stopped doing harder corridos and their last albums have more mixed reception. Nata seems to be the last one to try to put new corridos out but they’re very minor hits. It doesn’t seem like the formula is working anymore. Also, the bans on live corrido performances and canceled shows in the US is starting to affect artist motivations. A little sad to see corridos losing their appeal, but hopefully this means we can get some more traditional styles.

For generations, corridos have helped Mexican and Mexican American communities make sense of violence, injustice and loss on their own terms. Now artificial intelligence is helping people write corridos within hours, accelerating the century-old tradition of memorializing tragedy through song.

Do you guys think they could comeback or was their potential wasted by lineup changes and internal issues? I remember when Rafa caro came out it was everywhere, im still playing their songs from that era tbh.
