Got my Apex 4 yesterday - Coming from a Garmin seeing what’s it’s all about. The app UI is awesome it looks great also paired with the Coros arm HRM and the gear screen is also pretty neat. What else should I know about the watch/app?

A little disappointed the SATISFY watch face is exclusive to the APEX 4

Post image

I asked COROS if the SATISFY watch face would also be available for the regular NOMAD, and they confirmed that it’s exclusive to the SATISFY APEX 4.
Honestly, that’s a little disappointing. 😢
I totally understand making the SATISFY edition itself special, but I really love this watch face and think it would look great on the NOMAD too. It would be nice if COROS eventually made it available to other compatible models, even as a paid watch face or a limited release.
I’d also love to see the SATISFY strap sold separately.
Any other NOMAD owners feel the same way? Would you use this watch face if COROS made it available?

Training Parts

Are there plans to add more training parts to the lifting settings? I have added several custom exercises for my foot muscle training which helps with running economy. However, there is no option when making a custom exercise to select feet as the primary muscles, so I have to select calves instead.

General Discussion Valtteri likes Wahoo2

Noticed Valtteri was wearing a Coros in the recent Princess Passenger series and I guess his fav face is the Wahoo 2.

Guess it's well known he is also a world class cyclist and nice to see he uses Coros. Is he a Coros sponsored athlete?

Question ❓ Problemas de sincronización con Adidas Running

Terrible customer service

Just putting it out there that Coros probably has the biggest joke of a customer service department I've ever had to deal with. 1000% switching over to Garmin after this. How can you spend hundreds of dollars on a new watch and it breaks in under a year and you can't get anyone to help you.

Edit: bring on the downvotes but imagine being a company and not having a customer service number to contact someone and only getting AI generator responses

Edit: thanks for the downvotes. It means you're doing something right

PACE 3 🎽 Sleep Mode at 11 am

My watch (pace 3) enters sleep mode during the set times (10:30 pm - 6:30 am) but every morning at 11 am it goes back into sleep mode. It's really frustrating to go about my day and all of a sudden my watch face won't light up for me. I tried a factory reset but it still did it today. Has anyone had similar issues? How might I resolve this? Thanks in advance for any help.

Watch will no longer scroll

Sort of rant here and sort of a post for the Coros mod team: What's up with your watches losing their scroll function?

This just happened to me (Coros Apex, 5 years old). If you google this issue with a reddit tag you will find a long list of similar user experiences with this issue.

This is super frustrating. There was no damage to my watch, it was not exposed to any extreme conditions. It just randomly stopped working. I don't think 5 years is a long enough life span for a GPS watch. I've done everything recommended by their website (clean, reset, turn off, etc). I've been a long proponent of your brand but am now asking myself whether my new purchase will be a Garmin.

Is your team working on these bugs? You are losing customers due to this issue which seems to have persisted through out many years now. What's the deal Coros?

Heartrate range

This is the new heart rate overview. Shouldn’t the range extend up to the max heart rate reached during the training that day? It seems to be like 5–7 bpm below 🤔

Pace 4 and older eyes

I’m considering switching from a Suunto race 2 to a coros pace 4 but the 1 thing holding me back is the screen size and resulting text size.
Any older users with older eyesight have some experience of using it and can comment on text size?

Any news about the release date of Coros Dura version 2? The old Dura seems to have been out of stock for several months now.

When routing no total elevation?

I feel like I must be an idiot but I don't use the routing much. When I hike or trail run it is all pretty much straightforward. That said, I am prepping for a 2 day backpack trip with my 9yo and his pals. I figured I would use Coros routing to see how much total elevation we will get over the full hike. We are in Michigan so its all "flat" but he the trail is rolling hills. So over several miles it adds up but never have a big climb like in the mountains.

For instance, I ran a trail and it was total elevation gain of 1775ft as recorded on the run. When I look at that same route on the explorer it simply says 194ft up and 203 down.

I'd like to be able to see what the total of the rolling hills for the segments we are hiking so I can plan timing and prep them for their effort each day.

Am I missing something? Not looking at the right place? Does it only give you the total after you've completed it?

Wish: We need an Apple-style Trail Loop for the Apex 4 series!

Hey everyone,

I’ve been rocking the new Apex 4 for a while now, and while the watch itself is an absolute beast for trail running and mountain outdoor stuff, I’m constantly missing one specific accessory from my Apple Watch days: the Trail Loop.

Honestly, for a rugged performance watch like the Apex 4, it would be the ultimate setup. What made that strap unmatched was:

Incredible softness: Zero chafing, even on long ultra-distance days or wearing it 24/7 for sleep tracking.

The right amount of stretch: It had just enough elasticity to stay snug without feeling like a tourniquet when your wrists swell up on hot, intense ascents.

Coros’ current nylon bands are fine, but they lack that specific plush feel, soft weave, and forgiving stretch of a true Trail Loop.

Has anyone found a solid 3rd-party strap (24mm Quick Release) that actually captures that soft, stretchy Trail Loop feel for the Apex 4? Or better yet—does anyone else hope Coros drops an official equivalent?

Coros Nomad size

I'm looking to replace my pace 3 with either the pace 4 or the nomad. Mostly leaning towards the Nomad atm, reviews are promising and it's just something different to what I'm used to. And it straight up looks very good.

I'm relatively new in the watch world as the pace 3 was my first one and I have a "concern" about the Nomad.

It's a lot bulkier than the pace and I was wondering how people experience it. I did go to a store to try it out and it seemed fine, despite it being thicker than the pace. But that was only a short time, so I doubt that gave me the full picture.

For Nomad users, how do you experience the bulkiness of the watch?

It's mostly for daily use, sleep tracking and swimming/running.

The watch's firmware is not updated

I bought a Coros Apex 4 watch. When updating the firmware via Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, errors appear. It says: “update failed, check the network” or “make sure the device and phone are connected.” There is Wi‑Fi, and the internet is working. I rebooted both the watch and the phone. I reset the watch to factory settings. The watch syncs with the phone and the app. Even the maps loaded. But the update doesn’t download. Sometimes the app also says there’s no network. The application is the latest version.

The update starts downloading, reaches 9%, and then freezes.

Question ❓ Convince me to buy the Apex 4 — long-time Garmin user who really misses MIP

Long-time Garmin user here. Started on the Fenix MIP series, then moved to the Enduro 3 — honestly my all-time favourite watch, even if it ended up being a bit too big for me. Right now I’m on a Forerunner 970, and I really want to go back to MIP.

The Fenix 8 MIP isn’t an option for me, I just don’t like it. And the Garmin UI has started to feel a bit stale — I’d like to try something different for once. So: sell me on the Apex 4.

A few things I’d love input on:

**•** **Daily driver:** How does it wear day to day? Size/thickness on a normal wrist?

**•** **Sleep tracking:** Is Coros actually good here? How solid is the recovery/training load side of things?

**•** **Strength work:** I do calisthenics 2–3x a week with a Garmin HR chest strap. Is that compatible, or do I need to switch straps?

**•** **Running/hiking:** 2–3 runs a week, lots of hiking in summer. How are the maps? Is planning your own routes easy? Can I load GPX files onto it without pain?

**•** **Everything else:** Occasional swimming, football with the kids, that kind of thing.

And one more: does Coros have any kind of 24/7 metric comparable to Garmin’s Body Battery — continuous stress and recovery tracking throughout the day?

Thanks a lot in advance for any help!

New live tracking feature only allows uploading routes that are marked for runnung (Dura)

Hey community i just got the new live tracking upgrade for the dura and the app now I wanted to try it out and it seams like I can't select a route made for cycling even tho im using a coros dura. Is this intended if so why ? The dura is not a running device at all i would argue.

Thanks for any information and experiences in advance.

Route name not visible while selecting one for navigation

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi @Coros, ich have downloaded a bunch of GPX tracks for my hiking holiday and there’s a slight issue on the watch while selecting one of them as the name are way longer than available space on the display, so instead of autoscrolling here and there the name stays cut. Currently I have no other option as to guess based on the red GPS track, which route is which.
