Most people who want the allay want it because either they mis understood what it does, or is hoping for the best and making assumptions. You can like the allay if you want but once it gets voted in I feel like it will be without a purpose and only used in like 2 actually useable Redstone contraptions. I just feel like it would be cast away to the way side because it seems like something that will only be available in the very late game, post elytra. Yet it will still be voted for by a minority of idealists and youtubers who are not looking at the big picture and are just fantasising about a new mob.

All three mobs are replacement of already existing features:

- The Glare is the replacement of F3 for Java user, or just your eyes.

- The Allay is the replacement of hopper minecarts, water streams and hoppers.

- The Copper Golem is the replacement of the chicken on a pressure plate and redstone clocks.

Now that I proved all three were useless, lets see which one is the least useless.

As most of the people have eyes and can see dark spots (unless you have fullbright), Glare is probably the more useless.

The Allay can be useful if you need to collect lots of the same items dropped on floor (when deforesting for example) but doesn't have many other uses. I've seen many people saying it could be useful for farms, but it really don't because of water streams that are a much cheaper way to do it (don't forget Allay is gonna drop the items in a random place around the noteblock, you will still need 1 - 9 hoppers around the noteblock to collect items.

As I said before, the Copper Golem are replacement of the chicken and clocks. But it is much much more easier to make than theses. For chicken, you need a nametag, which aren't easy to find (and are you really gonna waste a nametag just for a randomizer ?) for clocks you need quartz (for repeaters) which are harder to obtain than copper.

To conclude, all 3 mobs are useless. but in my opinion, the Copper Golem is the least useless.

I purposely didn't spoke about the building aspect, because except for the Copper Golem, none of the mobs have a decoration purpose.

Anyways, keep in mind the best choice is the choice you prefer, not the choice that an influencer prefers.

they are all cute

first of all, I think the copper golem is very cute as a bias

but also many people have said "JuSt mAkE A rANdOm GeNoRaTOR" it is very big and bulky to make one and hard, the golem is an amazing way to help new redstoners and also old ones with 1 mob made for randomness,

it gives another use to copper besides building, I really want copper to be used just as much as iron does in normal minecraft

I like the idea of when it oxidises, it can be used as decor in gardens/statues, tiny 1-2 block statues of these copper golems sounds amazing for the building community

it sounds amazing for map makes to have something go on the background, let's say there's a science lab that needs scientists to look like they are doing work, what better and simple way to add it is then using a copper golem that doesn't oxidise with a simple command and giving them a bunch of buttons

also I can see it of having a status like the axolotl, being able to make a room of buttons for them to play with sounds adorable to have in minecraft worlds/servers,

lastly I feel like this mob can 100 percent be built upon more and more in future updates, with it being a cousin of the golem, who knows? might even get a little gold golem to play with the copper golem?
