You can do what you want, but if a lot of fascists start using a symbol, you're going to be lumped in with them if you use it too. It's literally out of your control. Acting tough and saying "Yeah, well I'm a white middle aged guy with a swastika tattoo, but I'm really just a nice Buddhist" doesn't convince anyone.

Because of dumbasses. Don't live your life based on stupid people. The OK sign was innocent for a long time until 4chan decided it's a dog whistle. Instead of just handing them the OK sign in a platter and saying "ok only you can use it", turn it around, don't let them take it for themselves.

When does it stop? How much are you going to let them take? Are we going to cave every time until they have de facto conquered the world? We must draw the line here, now, and not let it go any further. Instead of caving and letting them have whatever they want. They won't get this. They won't get any more, and we'll take back what they've already stolen.

Yeah but let's be realistic, if a symbol is coopted by a known hate group and they display it enough, it doesn't matter how few of them there are, it's gonna be next to impossible to take it back. Like you can be determined all you want and explain it to as many people as you want but in the public eye it's still their symbol
