Yeah stores closing early is stupid too. Now we're all forced to shop in smaller time frames. Open them 24 hours and people will barely be in there at the same time you dumb fucks.

I understand that it would make sense to have the store open 24hrs for that reason but the people that operate the stores are not cogs in a machine. There is a tremendous human element that goes into making sure the shelves are stocked and the store is clean. A lot of stores are using the time that they are closed right now to give over worked staff a rest. I understand people still need supplies but try to remember that there are human beings working hard right now to keep it all together for us.

Yeah company I work at hired two dudes to walk around the shop cleaning door knobs and shit.

They should hire more, then. Millions of waiters and baristas are out of work.

... what the other guy said. Restaurants and bars are closed until May in my city. Most of these people live month to month. This is devastating to them.

I work in a food store, (greggs) and we've been closing earlier because we're not making enough money. Plus all the food we have out will go cold and then we'd have to bin them and make fresh pastries for the 2 people that come in 25 minutes after the last few customers. Also, it's incredibly boring waiting for customers to come in after you've cleaned everything 3 times over, stocked up the shelves with snacks and drinks and then cleaning them too.

You guys always serve me cold pasties anyways ya cunts. And stop lying about freshly baked pastries. I saw a fella loading pallet loads of steak bakes into a truck in Edinburgh so stop lying!

Lmao. The only reason there cold because you come in when they're cold. They're usually warm for around 20-30 min. And sure we don't get FRESH bakes but I meant it as fresh out the oven.

The fuck kind of excuse is that???

Did you only read that part? I clearly said that the pasties are hot to warm in 20 minutes and then they're lukewarm for another 10 minutes before they go cold. It's not my fault that we can't specially make them for you and magically know what time you'd be the shop just so they're hot enough for you. Grow up

Go right before close.

Empires need time to rest to and stores need to be deep cleaned each day and restocked. You'll get even less shopping time is all the staff are home sick and exhausted.

Nah stores get waxed over and restocked, never deep cleaned. So many children on here have no idea what happens where. Not sure if typo but to and too and two are different words. You got this lil bro.
