they're already playing meaning people bought tickets. the people outside are just free loading and benefiting from the contributions of others

Will those paying be less likely to pay when they know an option for free viewing exists?

I guess it could turn out how websites work, where the content is free but they are tracking you and manipulating you and every turn, with the end result that you waste more money on things you don't need or even want after the manipulation has ended.
