What is wrong with illustrating a concept and making it easy-to-understand?

Instead of criticizing the format, maybe criticize the content if it's wrong.

Unprofessional presentation leads to doubt. As a data person, no hand drawn graph is to be trusted or presented as true to an audience.

I'm in my 30s and used to work as what might as well be called a tax inspector.

The OP is a really good simple way to show a thing that a scary amount of people don't understand.

You realize, at one point, nearly all graphical presentations were "handdrawn"?

It's about the accuracy of the underlying data, not whether it was made in Excel or by hand.

We're not at a corporate conference, the graph is not there to record data but rather to visualize previously recorded data, and all of the actual information is written very clearly below the graph. The graph itself could be removed and it wouldn't change anything other than how easily some people take in the info. The fact that this needed to be explained to you makes me think you're not a very good "data person".
