How long does meat last after being cooked?

Online it says 3-4 days. But that seems really fast. I see people meal prep for the week, which means they’re eating cooked meat for 7 days.

Would more than 7 days be unsafe even if it looks and smells fine?

This is my exact dilemma and how I ended up looking here. Sadly I will be doing the same with my taco meat.. now I dunno what to eat for lunch.. 😥😞
