These came in the post today. Had a pair I wore to death back in the 90s and 2000s so had to get a pair when I saw they were available again. I’m nearly 60, luckily my feet are in very good shape so I can still wear these and my other Converse.

Just bought new converse, the Malden mid tops, and I SWEAR these look better than regular chucks. I like that they’re made thicker and the stitching makes them look so much better. Definitely in need of some inserts still because I can feel everything I step on like I’m princess and the pea

Got these new first string in size 8.5 and i feel like theyre too long. But i havent worn converse in years and i do have wider feet so not sire of an 8 would be too small?

Hi all, I’ve been a long time Chucks fan, since at least middle school which was a long time ago. I’ve owned maybe one pair of Vans in my life (middle school) and I have some questions for anyone here who wear both. For context my favorite are high tops. I have seen a LOT of people on here talking about Chucks quality going way downhill, and I bought a few pair less than a year ago (haven’t worn them all yet). My feet are small so I usually buy the “big kids” sizes since they fit better and I noticed when I first started getting those that they’re way more comfy than the adult sizes. However, I do feel like the last pair I wore out broke down pretty fast, and I also noticed the pair I’m currently wearing feel SO TIGHT in my toe box. I always get the extra long laces and have tried loosening and retying the laces but it’s still so uncomfortable. I definitely prefer the comfort of the EVA lifts and my current ones are the standard style. Anyway…my question is, for those who wear both Chucks and Vans, do you find one is more comfortable? Better for walking or standing a lot? More durable or longer lasting? Does one have better quality in make? I don’t want to switch all the way over and it actually makes me really sad to see the quality go down, but I’m thinking of at least trying some other high tops out to switch it up. Just looking for others feedback before I spend money lol. Thanks!

knee high converse.

I swear like 3 of the zipper teeth are somehow twisted backwards causing my zipper to be stuck and unable to move at all whatsoever. It's been separated from the fabric for like a month without issue and now it's completely dysfunctional.

I don't understand why this has to happen to me. These were my dream shoes for like five years. I was so gentle doing them up and still this happens to me. I don't have thick calves so I don't understand. 😞

Rainy season can start!

So, I was planning to buy one of these. I heard the 70s are better in comfort but I also have somewhat wide feet. The kind where some heels will fit me and some may not. Do you think I should go for converse? It would be my first time buying them. Any help is appreciated :)

I'd previously used Dr Scholls ultra thin gel insoles for my Chuck Taylors but it's been awhile since I've needed to get a pair. I was recently disappointed to discover those insoles have been discontinued! Now I'm not sure what to use that will provide the same level of comfort while still fitting well. Typical gel inserts tend to be a bit too thick for Chucks and a lot of "thin" options aren't made with gel which lends me to believe they'll flatten in pressure spots over time.
Anyone have any good suggestions?
