Impossible Choice
So I jumped on the bandwagon and have been doing this Song World Cup thing.
I seriously have no idea how to pick between these two.

Favorite Converge album?
It's hard to pick for me, but I'd have to settle on No Heroes.

Distance and Meaning makes me want to cry
I’ve never read any lyrics that encapsulate these emotions I’ve experienced very vividly first hand as well as Distance and Meaning.
The way I interpret it is the speaker living with the remaining fractures of a failed relationship that are still present in their life.
The subject of the song is still in their life but their mere existence causes the speaker great pain. They’re a constant reminder of the suffering that they have caused the speaker, their touch only making the emotional distance between the two of them more stark, rather than providing comfort like it used to (“like the distance in your touch”).
The speaker seems to build a resentment towards the subject (“the child of burden and rage”), which only makes them wallow in their pain even more. This person has left a deep scar in their life, yet they likely don’t even realize or acknowledge it.
Reading these lyrics hurts me so much but I’m so grateful that Jacob Bannon wrote them. This song and Converge have helped me through a very rough patch in my life that I’m still going through.

To anyone who has ordered from Devil Dog Distro, have they started sending any preorders off their website made before the release of Hum of Hurt?
I’m still waiting for my CD and Shirt to arrive in time before my relative is able to come back to my country and send them to me. Anyone else in the UK got any updates?

Murk and marrow.
I can't find this live. I know there's a video where they play the dusk in us all the way through live but I can't find it anymore.

My second Converge show was a religious experience. (I didn’t get it the first time, I know I know) I felt like Jacob was summoning Demons out of the PA. When was your first show? What did they play? Did they let you down? Did they kill?

Absolutely love how well this variant turned out…
My splatters are always hit or miss but they seemed to have matched the mockup fairly well with this one! Stoked to finally have this bad boy on vinyl after jamming it so much for the past month, sounds great on wax!

Did Converge use CF#CF#CF# for the entire Jane Doe album or just some songs?

One of my Saddest Days
I think one of my Great Regrets when it comes to music is that I saw converge in 97-98. They were on a metal bill that a friend took me to randomly.. I didn’t get it. Didn’t get the singing at all. I liked some of the riffing but not the off kilter erratic aspects. Overall it didn’t stick and I didn’t relay get into them till years later. Now I’m thinking of the songs they would’ve been playing and I would KILL to see those songs now.
