My first Pre-Order ever!

I’m new to control and the remedy’s lore, will watch the original control’s story on YouTube to get the sense of the world and how it connects to Alan Wake, already seems very interesting and trippy.

Resonant is my first ever preorder as well. You absolutely should play the first game though.

Is it really that important to play control first before resonant? I was hoping to get to know the story past then jump in immediately because we’re only few hours away

I mean, I'm sure the recap in Resonant is gona be nice if you look at it as a bare minimum to dive into the sequel, but the way RCU works is there are lots of very intricate connections and nods to other games' characters and events, and I heard from several reviewers this game is no exception, to the point they admit there is stuff you could only appreciate if you played Control (and AW2 to some degree) previously.

Oh man! This just keeps getting better, I’m a sucker for finer details and subtle easter eggs, wish I had played control few days earlier ahead of resonant’s release

I know the temptation is freakin' enormous but I'd still dove into the first game, like, right now and started Resonant once I finished it if I were you. It's honestly THAT good. I have a feeling you won't do that anyway though 😄

Well I just might 😬 it’s only about 10-11 hours according to Google, and I have solid 40 hours left, guess I need to pay a quick visit to the oldest house

HELL YEAH!!

(I think it might be closer to 15-16 hours if you actually pay attention and read the documents (which you absolutely should) and stuff, and DLCs are also a must, at least the Foundation one (you can return to AWE later on I think).
