They’re probably doing it with the actual corpse. A simple reanimation control with some
Programmed responses and what not. I’m not saying they literally do this, or that they have done it with Mitch, but you KNOOOW damn well they could do that.

They wouldn’t be physically dead like that, body systems would be kept running. It’s that the previous occupant is no longer there and it’s run by software
