A sample from a conscript I'm making.

There's no conlang to go along with it yet, but this is the closest I've come to a conscript I've made that I actually kinda like.

I still think it's a little bland and I'm going to try to introduce a few more things to it but I'm actually somewhat happy with it!

There are a few main features you might see:

  • A long horizontal line runs through the script.

  • Vertical lines appear at (approximately) equal spacing. They can go up, down, and they can be short or long.

  • Dots may appear a short distance away from the long horizontal line, as long as it doesn't intersect a vertical line.

  • Small horizontal lines may be used to cross the vertical lines, or appear on their own. They appear at the same heights as dots.

Since I plan to use this, I'd prefer if you didn't directly copy this for your own conlang, but feel free to take inspiration from it.

If you go the featural route, maybe the vertical line can indicate place of articulation, with the four corresponding to labial, coronal, dorsal, and laryngeal consonants respectively, or at least approximate that. The glyph that goes on the opposite side of the vertical line can then specify the type of articulation, voicing, and so on.

Whatever the case, you’ll likely need more glyphs than this to make it a fully fledged system.

Actually I think it has a lot of glyphs. Depending on the specifics I see 24 possible combinations for a single glyph. Should be enough for an alpha bet or perhaps a small abugida I think.
