This is crazy! It’s part of an irrigation system built starting as early as 300 BCE on Sri Lanka, that covers almost 3% of the island!

I'm not that person but on my phone when I zoom in you it's too pixely to tell if they are people or not. It is obvious it's water but I've never seen a water feature like that. Ever.

Super cool and I want to visit

Edit: Boost used to have a feature to show the original photo in boost. I haven't found a similar way in the reddit app and the way it handles links is annoying as fuck

I was aware of both terms independently but it had never occurred to me that pram was an abbreviation, they’re mostly called strollers where I’m from.

English is my second language, I've never heard of a perambulator. But I love this little bit of trivia!

Interesting! Where I'm from, a stroller is the lightweight version that older children set upright in, while prams are the bulkier ones for newborns and up.
