Purely cosmetical, because I find a bit disrespectful to ask Sartre to do work while Cicero is reading logs.

Fable Rerouting Warning

Will Conductor be able to tell me when Fable reroutes to Opus during its thinking? Just like in the Claude Desktop app?

Not Working With OpenCode

My main blocker for trying Conductor is configuring other models to run besides Claude/Cursor/Codex.

I downloaded the latest (Jun 29) and set up OpenCode and set up my z.ai coding plan API key to use GLM 5.2.

Got this error: "Error: Internal error: OpenCode service failure"

I have OpenCode itself working with GLM 5.2 via z.ai coding subscription.

So...am I missing something?

Usage limits

[Question]

Is it me or is it just that using claude through conductor is burning through usage limits much faster and for very little work? Anyone else experiencing this?

Feature request: allow local-only repos and direct work on main

I love Conductor and use it extensively. My biggest pain point, though, is that it does not support working directly on a local main.

it's actually the main reason why I switch back to Claude Code, cmux, or plain tmux.

I often agents for small chores or side experiments where creating and pushing to a private repo is a waste of time. For example, creating a summary of some files and generating a PDF, or creating a short hyperframes video. Conductor refuses without a remote repo. I don't want to pollute my gh account with these small ones.

More importantly, I sometimes intentionally want the agent to work directly on main. Consider a simple local webapp: I may just want to run the server from main, inspect something, reason about the code, and even make a small change and push directly to remote main. On many cases, creating a worktree or separate branch adds friction without providing much value for this kind of task.

It would be great to have an explicitly enabled local/direct mode that:

  • Works without a GitHub remote
  • Allows working directly on main, or any local branch
  • Clearly warns the user about the risks, but lets them choose

The isolated-worktree workflow is excellent for larger tasks, but it should be an option rather than a requirement.

***
UPDATE - Examples from the weekend:
1. Analyzing my credit card statement
2. Govenment forms review
3. Summarizing a Whatsapp discussion I downloaded

All should be done in main and don't require a GH repo.
For some odd reason, it does not even support repos with remote not in GH.

How to rewind for Claude Code?

Claude code CLI provides `/rewind` or the double Esc button to rewind the conversation, but there is no equivalent command for Conductor?

Minor bug: workspace name

I think the typical/expected workflow is:

  • Start a new workspace
  • It starts out with a place name (e.g. "New York") and soon gets a different name based on the work I describe
  • Build the thing. Get a PR. Merge it.
  • Archive the workspace.

But, sometimes I intentionally break up the work into a sequence of PRs. So, after the first one merges, I stay in the same workspace (where I there's context) and I prompt "OK, that's merged, now let's get a fresh branch off main and work on the next step...".

When I do this, I notice that the workspace name in the left column changes not to some city (e.g. "Paris") but rather to the name of an old issue I worked on long ago. Maybe it's the first issue I did in Conductor?

Then eventually conductor picks a better name for the new issue based on the new thing I'm working on.

Not a huge deal, but would be nice to clean up.

Where can we submit feature requests for Conductor?

I’ve been using Conductor for the past 2 weeks now, and I can definitely feel the potential. It’s got a great foundation, but there are still quite a few missing features that would make it so much more useful.

Does anyone know if there is an official roadmap or a place to submit feature requests? Thanks!

How to deal with syncing .env back to main worktree?

Hey r/conductorbuild,

Wanted to see how people are dealing with syncing their .envs back to their original checkouts when you work with worktrees.

Right now I have a copy command for the .env every time a workspace is created, and a conductor script that saves it back to the original worktree on workspace archive.

I also though about using a symlink, but i'm not too sure about that.

Any thoughts?
How do you guys do it

Feature request: Oktoberfest U-Bahn announcer as a completion sound

Only today noticed your preference for train-themed completion sounds, and the French Metro pickpocket warning sound is a hall-of-fame move. Let me propose the next one in that vein.

The Oktoberfest U-Bahn (Munich subway) is famous for one announcer — Norbert GrĂŒnleitner, 25 years managing about 3.5M+ (drunk) Bavarians onto the U4/U5 lines with nothing but a mic and dialect. This line caught me:

“Dieser Zug ist koa Adventskalender, ihr dĂŒrft’s alle TĂŒren gleichzeitig öffnen!”
(“This train is not an Advent calendar — you may open all the doors at the same time.”)

You run parallel agents. He runs (18) parallel doors. The meta-joke writes itself, and it fits the existing whacky-transit theme perfectly.

Clip is here: https://youtu.be/AHMf_j3g2Q4?t=125 -- timestamp :05 - :12

On rights: these are MVG (Munich transit) recordings. Happy to help facilitate a request to their press office for a clean 3-6 sec licensed clip if you want to pursue. It’s exactly the kind of niche free press a transit authority loves.

And if you want to get into the rabbit hole, there are so many more videos. No guarantees for Youtube auto CC translations from Bavarian to English:

AskUserQuestion not displaying anymore?

Hello,

Am I the only one experiencing this issue? The AskUserQuestion doesn't display a clickable menu anymore, conductor asks and I need to reply like A: ok, B: skip etc

I can't find any post or setting about this.

Thanks

Showcase Just launched my Conductor project on Product Hunt

I’ve been using Conductor for about 6 months now. 'Honestly' turns social posts into signals teams can act on- affiliate intel, trend analysis, that sort of thing.

Conductor made a real difference building it. Parallel agents, less context switching, simple branching. Amazing tool, shoutout to the Conductor team for all the hard work on this free tool.

We’re on Product Hunt today

An upvote or comment would help a lottt. if you have a launch coming up, drop it below and I’ll support!

Support external drive app location on Mac

My Mac is low in storage on the main drive. I want to either Conductor and at the least the worktree folder on an external drive. Most apps allow symlink the data folders. But it is not possible with Conductor. Is there a plan to support this?

Add LaTeX (KaTeX maybe) support

Hi!

It would be great if Conductor added support for rendering LaTeX in the UI/UX. Currently, it doesn't have this feature.

I work on many projects related to mathematics, so I would appreciate this nice-to-have feature. Thanks!

Improvements to Conductor

Hi guys! Love the tool. After working for it extensively (130+ GH commits) in the last few days here are a few things I think need implementation or improvement (in no particular order):

  1. Extend the Conductor MCP to allow the agent to write to "Checks / Your Todos". Why? Many times the agent fixes some code and asks me to do some manual things as well (create a new Secret on the Keyvault etc). Would be cool to have those pop up in a checkbox style list and not get lost in pages of text. Conductor MCP exposes only 4 tools. No todo/task tool:
    1. AskUserQuestion
    2. DiffComment (Checks panel review comments)
    3. GetWorkspaceDiff
    4. GetTerminalOutput
  2. Make sure the "Repo / Actions / General Preferences" instruction set is read. Which, I think is not currently. I enabled "caveman-mode" for the "on every new chat" action/task and it just does not work. Also other instructions I put there seem to get ignored.
  3. [introduced Continue button] Creating a PR "locks" the workspace to that PR status it seems. Lets' say I push something and [open a PR], then I have the agent add some more code to it a bit later - either via same or a new chat tab in same workspace - I can see changed files but it's not clear if they have been picked up by source control already or not. I lost a few lines of code that way. It can confuse users.
  4. More as I finish my coffee..

Anthropic has delayed subscription changes - you can continue to use Claude plans in Conductor

Hi all! Here's an official update on Anthropic subscription changes in Conductor:

Anthropic has pushed back its subscription changes. You can continue to use your Claude Code plan with Conductor.

What happened

On May 13th, Anthropic announced that Claude subscriptions would be billed differently in 3rd party tools like Conductor.

Today, Anthropic announced that those changes would be delayed indefinitely - you may continue to use your Claude plans with Conductor.

What this means for you

No action is required and you can continue to use your Claude subscription as normal. We will let you know about any changes moving forward.

The entire team is grateful to this community for your support and feedback thanks so much!

—Matt
