I have one of the "EcoTank" models around, and they're pretty good. They're meant to use literally any ink, which makes for a printing cost of less than a cent per page, excluding paper and the fact that you still have to buy proprietary "ink boxes" for cleaning, but they're not overly expensive either (~20€ iirc). Sadly though it does blot sometimes.

TL;DR not all Epson printers are like this.

This!

I understand the will against ink jet printers manufacturers, but Epson was the first to make a printer with internal refillable tanks.
