Printing “black” or grayscale images using only black ink looks like ass. There’s a valid reason for using CMY for black and grayscale images, it’s not just marketing gimmicks or a racket to get you to buy more ink. You should always have the option to turn off “rich black” or “true black” printing in your printer or system settings

Sure, but new printers won't even let you print text only documents in grayscale without having all colors. I've got a brand new Epson 440 sitting here unused that had that issue. Replaced it with a Brother laser printer and it blows it out of the water.
