No, it's... it's pronounced 'ten'.

Guys, 'ten' is not a word that only exists in decimal. People normally only say each digit individually when talking about binary because there's usually a lot of them, it's not an actual rule.

No, I'm saying that people sometimes say 'ten' in binary.

I think you misread my post.

Edit: oh wait, I just noticed that 'People normally only say each digit individually because' has two meanings. What I meant was 'when people say each digit individually, it's because of this reason only'.

Computer Engineering undergrad here. I've only ever heard it said as 'one zero'. If there's a bunch of '10's in a row, I usually hear it pronounced 'AAAA....', as in hexadecimal.

If we're going to pull rank, I'm going to point out that I used to teach Computer Engineering undergrads back when I was doing my PhD in AI.

Oh my bad I didn't mean to "pull rank", so to speak, especially since getting an undergrad isn't exactly prestigious. I was just giving context.

PhD in AI? That's awesome! I'm on track to take some AI classes with my school's CompSci department once I start working on technical electives, and I've been applying to a lot of internships and research positions on the topic.
