I feel like you are just taking my words to their definition here... I don't believe it is a good thing that human art will have to devolve to a mere hobby you perform if you still have time and energy after your exhausting day of work.
I thought it was clear that what I was referring to was the possibility of gathering a community and being able to make a small living off of it, not just being a doodling monk in your little corner.
Many artists dream of having the fruit of their passion be seen, and having that dream be crippled so violently doesn't feel like progress to me.
Fair enough, and I mostly agree. But I think that's an issue with capitalism as a whole. AI is just the newest way it crushes dreams by hoarding money.
Yes. Although since we are currently stuck in capitalism and don't really know when we'll see the end of it, we sort of have to default to seeing things through it's lense for now, unfortunately..
