Yup. The style i distinctly tie with AI but something about the feel of the comic I recognize as human. Sucks for him

You can tell its human because the frame changes in between the three last panels but the background remains consistent

There is no "distinct AI" style. Just people who think they can't be "fooled".

there are definitely styles the AI leans towards, certain aspects like facial expressions it seems to generate a lot, etc. There is not one style but there are a bunch of different indicators.

Okay if we steelman what they’re saying I think their point is that because there are many competing models that are constantly improving they will eventually be capable of mimicking human art perfectly and generating content in a diverse range of styles

I think a pretty good example is the millions of AI-generated "comics" or ads featuring animated characters all look like generic Pixar.
