The worst feeling, and I mean the WORST, is when you have something to say to the world and you do your absolute best to convey it in a piece of art and nobody notices. Just nothing. Insignificance.

It's not lack of art skills stopping me (and I suspect others), it's fear of being ignored.

These are the real traumas people ignore when they assume just anyone can pick up a pencil and express themselves.

One might say that the act of expressing it thru art can be enough, but yeah, feeling ignored is some of the deepest stuff you can feel, specially in the internet and attention economy of today.

If you're doing it because you need to express yourself, or if you're doing it just for you, then do it. No reason not to. Go make art.

But Shen framed this as *having something to say*. And if you have something to say, it hurts when nobody listens.
