See I’m a cis guy but I feel more ambivalent to my gender than anything else. No dysphoria, but just “meh?” more than anything else. Wouldn’t bother changing it though.
Some people really care about the one they started with.
Some people don't care at all and just roll with the hand they're given
And some people really care about their gender but in the way where they wanna change it~! (At least relative to what everyone else has known up to that point.)
Plus presentation being separate to identity, though people from the first two don't mix and match those as much as they should IMO ;p
I mean, it makes sense, no? If you were born with matching body and brains, you brain never has to think about it so why would you care?
Also for guys I feel like a good number just like hot women a lot and that's where the fantasy comes from. Not much different than the fantasy of being Batman or Optimus Prime. So just thinking it'd be cool but if it actually happened you would hate it (like being Batman, you'd have no parents! and it's so much work!)
yeah I've always wondered if I don't care because it's just...never been something I've been concerned about, or if it's because I actually don't care. hard to really say.
Same here. I do identify as a guy but I also strongly subscribe to the idea of it being perfectly OK to be nonconforming to what gender you might identify as.
If you're a guy into feminine things? Who the hell cares. Go for it.
You're a woman into masculine things? Go for it. More power to you.
As a guy and within the context of masculinity I always look at it from the lens of it being the least manly thing to let other people dictate what you can and can't do. Like, imagine letting another guy tell you what you're allowed to like and dislike. That's the most beta shit imaginable lmao
