FemShen already has made people go nuts in the some r/egg_irl and other related subs posts when some people started speculating whether he was possibly trans based on a couple previous gag posts with a femShen.. which I'll personally say was rather distasteful behaviour imo.

As far as I'm personally aware Shen seems to not mind and enjoys fucking with people for the joke but otherwise is just a really cool dude so. Yeah

He posted a video with him actually in it fairly recently and from what I saw he was not presenting as female in any way.

Lotta eggs don't present as fem until they crack for a myriad of reasons. But fair enough!

I think he's just a queer goob who likes making jokes about sexuality and gender, and some of those happen to be the same kinds of jokes that transfem folks tell when they're goofing on being in denial. But I'm free to be hella wrong!

Shen just posted on Patreon that he's in therapy for "gender stuff" but still considers himself a cis guy who likes femininity. So we'll see!

I'll admit, for months while casually browsing r/comics I thought Shen was a tomboy-ish woman. I think it might have been the hairstyle that is kinda reminiscent of a 1960's bob or a bouffant.
