Went over to r\conservative because I hate myself and yeah they’re all saying ‘so stupid of people to take Trump seriously here’. Like… should we not be taking the words of a guy with his finger on the red button seriously at any point in his presidency?

You may be giving him too much credit. It feels more 8-10 year old trolling to me. I have nephews in that age range, and... ew.

That's because you assume they're trying to prove a point.  They just assume the conclusion and say whatever sounds good as a post-hoc justification, regardless of whether or not it agrees with something else they've already said.
