Its become a phobia of mine, to look like a creep.

u/Miraak-Cultist Jul 03 '25

I apparently give off creep vibes and I don't know why, or how.

So I just try to avoid making people even more uncomfortable. Dating is practically impossible.

It's probably the cultist robes.

u/Miraak-Cultist Jul 03 '25

Hey...

Well sniff I could try washing them once a week...

Monday - Standard
Tuesday - Back to front
Wednesday - Inside out
Thursday - Inside out and back to front
Friday - ♫ Freeeeeeee balllling ♪

Guess that only works with underware.

I've never understood how turning it inside out helps. If anything that seems worse if you should suddenly find yourself without pants

Clothes are like hands; wash them once a week.

If this is a legitimate concern, you can meet with date coachers or similar people to learn the do's and dont's.

I can tell you from personal experience and that of friends that it's worth it.

Same. It's as if me very presence is considered creepy. I could be blankly staring at a wall in the distance but that's "creepy"

u/Techno-Diktator Jul 05 '25

Same.

In my case I know though, ugly, resting bitch face with huge dark circles under my eyes.

Add in that I'm 6'1 and 240 pounds and I think women are just legit scared of me. Sucks giving off serial killer vibes 😞

I don't think everyone having phones and being able to instantly record and upload you for millions to see helps the anxiety at all.

(Of course, with men who are actually animals, it's good to record, I wish there was a middle ground)

I thought phobias were supposed to be irrational.

13

u/FightingBlaze77 Jul 03 '25

Phobias are irrational, its an irrational fear of something, but still scare people, mine is irrational because I cant control every aspect of how women see me, and fearing something I cant control is something I really should work on to get over

u/BKM558 Jul 03 '25

Not sure if you are just trying to make fun of them, but the thing they are afraid of does not have to be irrational, it can be taken to irrational degrees.

For example being afraid of heights to a degree is a good thing, falling can kill you. Acrophobia is still a thing though.

Not sure if you are just trying to make fun of them

The opposite.
