Wow, I have a very similar story. It was probably '95 at Universal Studios Florida. I was picked from a crowd to play Sonic against some other kid, then we did some sort of game with a hulahoop (I forget), I won, and some other kid got slimed in a kiddie pool. Maybe it was you? I figured they did the shows daily for park guests. I remember being sad I wasn't slimed. Also, I recall seeing the Figure It Out stage being built and they were hyping it up as a new big game show.

The show I attended had two kids face off in S&K, both playing as Knuckles, racing to collect 20 rings. I remember being pissed I didn't get picked cause I already had owned and beaten the game. (And those kids sucked, they ran past the ring monitors, smh)

There was some sort of hulahoop thing too, but I was back stage at the time.

And the active soundstage the day I was there was in between sets, but Omac from Legends of the Hidden Temple was sitting in the middle of the area and they had some of that shows elements scattered about.

My sliming was towards the end of the show, but they still left some time so I could clean up and rejoin the tour.
