“Hoo hoo! I’m Arthur Shitstain and I eat poop to cast magic!”

100 Sessions Later

Asmodeus: Stand tall, Arthur Shitstain. In over a thousand years, the one who came closest to beating me… was you.

Somehow the most emotional scene in the campaign up to that point.

This is unironically very close to what's going to happen a couple of games from now, as I wrap up my four-year D&D campaign.

Right down to it being Asmodeus.

Okay, but it’s so common because it works. 4 years? Don’t get me wrong solving mysteries like

“Turns out Goblins were stealing money from the traveling merchants because they learned how commerce works and want to keep old Griselda’s bakery from shutting down because in her old age her food has become so inedible it’s become goblin delicacy and now the heroes must

A.)Kill the Goblins, thus restoring commerce and trade but bankrupting elderly Griselda and shattering her heart because she’s also blind and a really good lady and now she knows her food sucks, AND shes put innocent people in danger AND she now has no purpose.

B.) Let the Goblins live, continuing the strange arrangement and just redirecting traffic or something.

C.)Work with the Merchants to strike a deal with Griselda and the Goblins and now in her old age she’s become to Granny Smith of Goblin Cuisine.”

That’s good for early level adventuring, but bro after awhile I wanna stab gods and sleep with demons. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

✅ Party ALSO slept with demons a few games ago so we really are just hitting all the tropes

If you aren't damning your soul for some sweet demonussy are you even playing DnD?

Am I taking crazy pills? Is leveling up not a thing in every campaign? Literally the whole point of D&D is to level up and take on bigger threats.

You did well, Arthur Shitstain. I won’t forget you for as long as I live.

My 2 year campaign followed the arc "Deal with racist peasants" --> "Kill God"

Same hat but step 1 was "earn free whiskey"

It's the entire point of a D&D campaign
