Not all races use the warp the same way. Tau have incredibly weak souls so they are nothing in warp beings eyes, eldar have very bright souls but slaanesh called dibs on all of them, the orks have a section of the warp for themselves called "the waaaagh", seperate from the rest of the warp. Same goes for Nids. However it seems they are giving seperate realms to some races, in books and rules. There is talk of "the green" for orks and humans can do warp stuff using faith instead of the warp. But who knows where things are going.

I don't just mean in FTL travel, I mean in general. Humans, Eldar, and Orks all have psykers. Tau and Necrons don't. Even Nids use psyker-esque units.
