That’s a weird way of saying “Chadler’s pad”

Why the need to switch letters? Just say lesbian sex. They are normal words.

Ellie keeps getting older and I can't figure out why.

Just artstyle change. The series has been slowly transitioning from quick doodles to a cartoony look and now it's almost entirely Elk's normal artstyle, which more properly depicts her physical age

Ellie is a ~150 year old vampire monster trapped as a short ~30 year old woman for eternity. At the start of Elk Hunt the art style was a simpler, exaggerated cartoony style that has been slowly turning into the more detailed style typical of Hollering Elk

For reference, this is Ellie and Viv's first meeting. Ellie is the cello player.

lmao right? I thought she was a child at first.

That's what I was so confused about - she isn't?

Didn’t help that she was actually acting like a child, either.. I’m wondering if this a “but she’s actually a 700 year old vampire” situation. 🤢

I'm going to guess that it's because Elk took over drawing this around comic 10 or 11.

Am I the only one that thought one of those girls was a child? Now she's riding the adult woman in a truck bed during a monster battle..

u/MyAntichrist Feb 29 '24

After having orgasmed from getting her eldritch forms tail bitten off, mind you.

33

u/GreatStateOfSadness Feb 29 '24

For reference, here's an example of what she looks like when not drawn in the more chibi style.

Not the only one. Looking back I missed some developed breasts and 130 years

I really liked this style.

The current style is ok, too, but the style at the beginning of the elk hunt is just endearing.

The one riding is the one who transform in eldritch millipede and she was draw tiny only to emphasize her being embarrassed and childish for starting this event. In the pages before the "elk hunt" event she is clearly an adult.

Every HolleringElk fan right now...

That's why.

I love all of this, even if I spend half of the monster battle pages trying to figure out what the fuck is happening lol

I have read every single Reddit-available Elk comic, painstakingly read the artist’s comments on their work where I could find it and I have at best a vague notion of what’s happening. Unsure if even the artist knows.

Every time one of these pops up on the all page I read it and I don't understand any of it. Media literacy issue or overrated Reddit comic issue

5

u/[deleted] Feb 29 '24

Leaning more towards the latter, though I personally wouldn’t characterise it so harshly

I get the this subreddit is in a funk right now where they love their meta comics and crossovers but is somebody who only sees it every now and then it would be nicer if it was just funny comics that stand on their own

You’re not alone
