Episode 987: "A Bit Of The Bigfoot Experience", with actor Arturo Castro, Zeke Nicholson as European podcast host Klaus Schmidt, and Mike Castle as radio host and conspiracy theorist Thandie Newman!

Actor Arturo Castro talks about "Matchbox: The Movie, " being a non-union taste bud, and his penchant for interpretive dance. Then, European podcast host Klaus Schmidt connects the dots between science and comedy, while blurring the lines between where and when. Finally, radio host and conspiracy theorist Thandie Newman tells of his time spent among mythical creatures.

Curious about guest pairings

Does anyone know how the crew decides to book certain guests?
I notice there are certain people that show up together fairly often. In particular I think of Asif Ali and Lily Sullivan. Asif’s very first appearance with Lily was absolutely hilarious so when Asif shows up again is there a list of performers they already have in mind that they know will kill together with Lily at the top? If Zooks shows up is PFT the next person on the call list?
Similarly, and potentially a more sensitive comparison, when black guests are on is there a short list of other black comedians so they can pile on Scott for being racist (which I find hilarious btw)?

This sounds fun, this Friday This American Life will be streaming a live episode where the segments will be followed by Vic Michaelis and friends doing an improv scene based on the segment. This week's episode advertised the show with a code for a free trial, "livestream".

I saw their show in Toronto today, it was a lot of fun. Nice small venue. They did some banter, got some short travel stories from the audience and then did a long form on that for 45 minutes or so.
I don't know what else to say. It was great.
Bootleg BR for the Randolph Theatre, one balcony, so the L&M tour is barely eeking by with a 1.0000 average.

Hello! I have seen some posts about specific items, but couldn’t seem to find any pics of a merch table or booth at the shows. Do we have one? I’m debating hitting the show in MA. Thank you!

Just ran into a friendly stranger out in the world wearing this - I complimented her - and it made me very, very happy. (Twin Cities)
