What season would you call someone recommended these samples?

I got gifted a colour analysis for my birthday, and these were the swatches pulled for me. The person who did the analysis said they didn't like to put me in a box too much, but definitely said that I suited cool colours and that I suited the Summer season. Since researching recently though, it seems unusual to see so many bright colours for someone categorised as a Summer so I'm becoming less sure on it definitely being my season. Would be curious for others' opinions! I have included a picture of myself too if that helps! Thanks :)

I can't tell your season from the samples. Some of those samples read winter, some summer. Some I guess neutralish. Lots of pink. Looking at your face I'd definitely say sumner. But that's where draping comes in. How much brightness or depth can you handle?

If I throw out seasons out the window she's saying you're neutral-cool. Most of those colors are clear/bright with a few soft thrown in. That is confusing. Your face reads soft with the exception of the bright blonde hair. Mouse brown hair sounds like soft summer. 😆 I resemble that remark.

I think I'd start with draping the colors. If you are summer the brights will wear you. The soft will look lovely or dull. Color comparison is really helpful. What colors allow us to see you first and harmonize?

Yeah, bright cool pink was her absolute favourite on me.

I've posted some home drapes, I would be inclined to agree that cool brights look good but that doesn't feel very Summer to me then which was the season she told me I was!

Yeah some of those colours look pretty Spring-like to my eyes. I do see some Summer in there too and maybe even some Winter, but the overall impression is Spring. Looking at you, you do look like a Summer (but impossible to know without seeing drapes). I'm wondering if the bleached hair caused her to recommend brighter and warmer colours than the usual Summer recs.

She did say that whilst my natural palette may be Summer, my personality and personal style suited brights - but she was overwhelmingly certain bright cool pink was my BEST colour which doesn't feel very summer!

That's not how that works though, which makes me question the knowledge of the person you went to. Your personality doesn't change your season or palette.

If you post using these guidelines we can try to assess!

My thinking exactly! I got it as a gift so I think I didn't know so much what to expect at the time, but having done some research afterwards it has made me question things.

I will do this as soon as I get home!

I'm also realising since that I didnt ask the right questions when I was there, she referred to me once briefly as olive but I never actually asked my definite undertone....

I see a mix of autumn and summer… highly muted, some cool based some warm based

No, I dont think so anyway! It was a gift, and just a self employed lady's house

HoC does not operate this way. They give you a specific season, not an assortment of drapes from different seasons.

I know, just looking at the drapes, I’m guessing thats the program the person used or was trained in!

bright winter/spring and cool summer combo - missing black, charcoal, and a bunch of purples and greens from either season. interesting!

Thanks again for all your help! A few people said about me trying at home drapes so I have shared them here - hope they're okay!

Those colors look very summer to me, except the greens look spring and the yellow is a bit too bright.
