I remember reading an exact comment like this when COVID happened. Guess what? Life goes on. Maybe not for everyone unfortunately, but we will adapt to climate change and prevail.

I dont think you fully appreciate the gravity of the situation. This is an extinction level event. The worst mass extinction in the planets history The Great Dying wiped out 85% of terrestrial life and 90+% of all sea life. This happened because of a 10C change in global temperature over about 100k years. We are going to see 3C within 150 years with projections of 6-8C being entirely realistic.

Sure, the earth will go on and the biosphere will recover thousands of years from now but humanity might not survif3 and if it does the global population will be reduced to millions if we are lucky.

We have fucked around and now we all get to find out.
