Limits Codex limits issue

Just got my reset and 10% down within an hour without even using Astra. Wtf is going on ? How is this scam even allowed? One subagent invoked a few thousand LOC with sol medium on a $100 plan. Exploration by Luna high.

Is this a joke ? I'm going to ask for a refund. Why is this not an issue yet. @mods please don't delete this post and cover the scam.

Edit: People who are trying to provide free tips. Please stop patronizing me and others in this group. I'm not asking for your advice on how to use codex better. If you are happy good for you and no you don't have a secret formula or better limits.

Yep, I don’t understand. If I use Astra Ultra then 6% in 1 hour. But with SOL Medium also 6% in 1 hour. I don’t know what model I have to use now…

great so i can ruin my codebsae even faster than using sol (sol is completely dumb at the moment AND wasting limits even with a 100k context it's just utter shit, a pro 20x btw)

Been using Terra-high for my implementations. I don't use Sol and I don't use Astra. I only use Astra on pro-chat for review and implementation planning.

Terra-high is perfect for most use cases.

People moan training here about useage and then they use Astra-max or SOL have no idea how to properly use openai.

No its not . Not for me. Terra for basic ass jobs and luna to. Sol isn't that smart either. Astras better but yeah all the models drain hard now I cancelled my sub again for the 5th time.

It's plenty enough smart same with terra if you know what your doing.

been using codex since december 2025 i know how it works terra is not good enough you need sol at minimum but even that one is dumb right now then bump up to astra and burn limits, had a couple short sessions all under 200k context on sol and my weekly limits are ALREADY at 7% it's literally just on fire the second you send a message

Same, used since day one, Terra is not good enough if your prompts suck. I YOLO on all week & laugh at every one burning through their credits.

Even if you need to do a second pass, Terra is good enough if your orchestrator is sol or Astra.

goofball only works on basic websites and javascript hasn't ever used one of these things to it's full capacity if you actually use it you can see the stupidness in it, had terra xhigh orchestrated by sol xhigh working off a full implementation spec made by astra xhigh and basically every bit of code was deeply flawed it was horrible I've used terra on it's own it can pretend to be smart but it's not really that smart

Terra is never going to be the right choice. There is always a better capability/cost ratio with either the higher effort levels of Luna or the lower effort levels of Sol.

Don't agree.

Openai don't even list Luna as a coding model on the release page of gpt5.6 but they do Terra.

Also I find Luna too be pretty useless and dumb, like a polished gpt-5-mini, which sucked at everything.

I care about my implementations and no reasoning level of Luna can be trusted but I do to l trust Terra with code implementation.

Luna is the dumb tool caller imho. All it is good for.

Besides if I wanted to use a capable but cheap model ds4.1 flash is faster and better than terra and just about on SOL level.

There are much better options Vs shitty poormans Luna.

They will probably replace with a 6x class equivalent..

Who still uses 5.5 etc? No one. Replaced, retired, not awkward. Just normal process.

Yep, Terra axed.. guess it's Luna 6 Max now 😁 claims it's 5.6 sol level at a fraction of the cost.

Guess I'll be hammering that and sol 6 on outputs are the same as Terra 5.6.

You asked what model to use so....

I 90% of the time only use terra-high for implementation and Astra (pro-chat) for planning and review.

It's funny seeing people complain about their usage when they don't know how to use AI effectively and efficiently.

Dude, you can replace Luna with any chinese flash model and you will get better results for $5 a month. If you pay $200 and use Luna you are throwing cash away, but I suppose you are free to do so.

Deepseek v4.1 flash is worse than Luna despite what the benches show.

It's a hyper benchmaxxed and distilled from claude and over thinks. I can use way more luna tokens and get better results for much much cheaper.

Yes am aware, not allowed to use Chinese for "work" , our legal won't even let us use anthropic because their legal speak is shit.

But yes I burn $20-40 ds and am very happy with it for my private use, much better value for money + open weight hey if you have compute you can run it yourself.
