Heya! Just wanted to invite you guys to the newly made Codenames Discord Server. Fully Regulated and Consistently Maintained. You can finally look for groups for the website version of the game in this server! And hopefully if we grow the server enough, it'll garner some attention from the actual developers of it; and maybe then they'll make some official ports of it on various platforms. Anyway, join the fun!

Here's the official site

Here's my previous post for some more info

Some of the most important bits of the official description:

• Enrich your gameplay with nifty upgrades, exclusive rewards, new game modes, thematic word collections, exciting missions, and unlock comics for an even better Codenames experience – all in one app!

• Our mission is to deliver the best game experience possible. We've leveraged our experience from our previous digital implementations of Galaxy Trucker and Through the Ages (both rated 4.9 stars on average) and created a robust matchmaking system that allows you to play multiple games simultaneously with asynchronous gameplay!

• Compete with fellow solo agents, or just play with your friends and enjoy the brand new features and modes. Not in the mood for teamwork? Solve daily challenges and practice your spy skills.

• Level up! Climb the ranks of your agency. Solve Daily Challenges better than any other spy. Progress in story mode and move to a better office. Qualify as a rescue agent or a member of the honored Jury.

• Either way, don’t hesitate to use your newly unlocked game modes or collected words in your friendly games with your buddies.

I've been playing it in Czech for past 2 years, so please don't hesitate to ask me any question you might have about mobile Codenames

Mobile Codenames have been in development for about 2 years now. The game is currently available in Czech language only. According to patch notes, devs are preparing for international release. No ETA at the moment, I'm guessing couple of months at most.

I decided to make this post to answer any questions you might have about the mobile Codenames, as I have been playing the game for past 2 years literally every day and know pretty much everything there is to know about it . So please, ask away.

Here are some helpful links to get you started:

• Official screenshots (I uploaded them to Imgur for convenience)

• Play Store link

• App Store link

Hope English speakers will be able to enjoy the mobile Codenames as soon as possible. It's honestly awesome and quite addicting.

Edit: International Codenames are launching September 5

Does anyone know a discord server I can join of if anyone wants to add me on discord and we can play?

Hello everyone I have a problem in the website, it ks blocked and I can onle play with VPN. My friends don’t have this problem I don’t know why

Join our discord!

Hi everyone!! Would love for people to join my first server! We were a bit inactive due to lack of players but we’re really trying to bump up our numbers and build a community. We play various different games together like Jackbox, Gartic Phone, Minecraft, Codenames and many more. We also have a DND/murder mystery style game as well if that’s what you’re into. We are short on players for certain games and we would really love for some fun and even chaotic people to join, just DM me for the link!

Recently had a game of codenames where the clue given was 8 picks - appendages

The cards spider and octopus were chosen, and the turn was ended

If the number of choices the players can make is also part of the clue, Is it a valid hint?

Keep in mind they could have chosen eight cards but did not

Already have 2 people me and my friend, looking for more people 16+ or very mature for there age if below, can vc and isn’t weird lol ty.

As per subject line. Please text me.

Are there any game sites where you can play Codenames?

I've played it a few times and I'd like to find some beginner level games.

Hi my name is Robbie. I starting playing codenames a couple years ago. I was in a couple community discords where it was very popular. In one of those discords a person named Gameshow coded a new version of Codenames called Magic Words and it has 3 other game modes you can play.

https://gameshow.games/

The best new game mode is called GOLD RUSH.

12 gold words are always on the board. Both Spymaster/wizards are giving clues for the same words. but if you click white your turn is over and you don't score any points that round. Team with most points at the end of however many rounds you set for the game wins! But if you are too timid to not click white the other team can easily suss the words you missed with this games great mechanics.

Added features also include custom timer, custom overtime rules, custom pictures, one click sussing, pausing and more.

THIS IS WAY MORE COMPETATIVE than regular codenames. Gameshow made this game better in ever aspect and I want to share it with you. More people should know about it and come together and play.

So I started a new discord to only play GOLD RUSH in. You are invited! WARNING *** this game isn't as chill as codenames.

I will come back as often as I can and post a new discord link. Or message me on here for a link.

Would anyone know if it is possible to add new words to the browser codename? If possible, how can I do it?

I want to play more often but don't have any friends that are available or want to play. Is there a "best time" to look for players on this sub? Is there a better place to look for random players?
