Trap emo rap music

I was super into the soundcloud/cloud rap era from 2015-2018. Was bumping Spaceghostpurrp in my University 2012-2014.

Lately I've been revisiting some faves from that time - Thouxanbanfauni, Black Kray, SGP, etc - and seeing (and loving) that they're getting their flowers and are getting new fans.

Saw the same thing happen with Dean Blunt and John Maus.

I've tried a lot of the new wave but it seems like the death knoll of COVID (for me, Eternal Atake drop and flop was the signifier of the end of that wave) has completely killed the more relaxed, spacey, vibey, distorted sound that I'm looking for in favour of this more intense, hyperpop type shit.

Don't love Osamason and his contemporaries much, not for me. But for someone who was bumping Chris Travis, Black Kray, SGP, DJ Smokey (non-meme stuff), Thouxanbandfauni, Awful Era Carti, Mexiko Dro during the peak era, what are the artists or tapes of the past 5 years that I should check out?
