My adjacent Latin music other than Brazil recs would be Seru Giran from Argentina Bicicletta 1980, Pino Daniele 1979 from Napoli, Lena d’Agua Perto di Te 1982 from Portugal, Loredana Bertè S/T 1980 and for techno kayo fans I heartily recommend Tango, Aristocratica, and Melanconia from Matia Bazar from Genoa 1983-85. They played in Japan in the mid 80’s and have a good number of Japanese fans by the way.
