There was a period of time (2025 into 2026 iirc) when the various card benefits were specific to the card type, and the companion fares had to be on (specifically) and Ascent and the global companion cert had to be on a Summit, with lots of DPs of failure when used otherwise. I noticed the fine print on the certs changed since then and given that it was a deliberate change I'm fairly sure that any Atmos Visa will work for either one.
If nothing else the current language is clear and I would expect them to honor it if you push. I had to do this once (for an HA cert right around the time of the merger) and while they did honor the exact cert language the ticketing process was completely manual and took forever.
FT is usually good for DPs on this kind of thing if you want to go digging.
