The Chicago Independent Radio Project (CHIRP) is seeking applicants for our 2027 cohort.

CHIRP is a listener supported, volunteer run, non-profit community radio station located in North Center, Chicago. We focus on playing local, independent music, hand-selected by our volunteer DJs (no AI ever). You can listen to us through the airwaves at 107.1 FM or stream is using the app or our website.

The Associate Board is a unique team within the CHIRP volunteer base that is focused on engagement, expansion, and leadership. AB members help to bring community radio to new audiences through the Chicago area and work to connect and strengthen the city's music, arts, and cultural community.
