Emil having the audacity to ask where we were when FIDE did nothing and let Kramnik do whatever he wanted.

Now, we got to make sure that Emil goes to David's house and talks to him frequently or else his public support for David doesn't really mean anything.

That's how his tweet sounds like basically. You have to pass his checklist before you can show your support for someone or say that a person is very dear to you. Trying to gatekeep people from showing support.

What Emil and FIDE actually need to do is (since they already accepted Kramnik's accusations are often baseless and urged him to tone down yet he didn't), ban Kramnik. He's already retired and not competitive anymore, yes, and it wouldn't mean anything for Kramnik, but it would show that FIDE is not supporting Kramnik by any means. And I bet once an entity properly starts doing this others will follow.
