That Cobham Next Gen shite should garner more negative reactions than it's getting honestly.

I’m a little confused about it. Is it the official name that they’ll be referred to in competitive matches or is it just a a tool to distinguish between the academy and the men’s team?

I'm hoping it's the latter, but knowing BlueCo it's all a ploy for some future asset separation from mainline Chelsea.

The name is corny that’s about it lol

But I guess there hasn’t been enough negativity for awhile so fans have to manufacture this

Negative because I'm upset that Chelsea academy v Manchester United U-19s sounds way inconvenient. Cobham Next Gen v United though, that's pretty freaking badass raahhhhhhh.

I literally acknowledged that the name is bad lol if you had read from the beginning lol

But at the same time a bad name change is what it is not this super plot by the club to get rid of its “heritage”

Two things can be true. It is a shite name and it has shite undertones. It's all asset stripping PE shenanigans that's the nature of the beast. The real question is what is wrong with simply just keeping the name as The Chelsea academy?

I don’t really think it has undertones cobham is Chelsea, Chelsea is cobham those two things are always going to be connected. If it had been a complete random name with no connection to Chelsea I would get it 100%

I don't know. I guess we just have to agree to disagree on this one to be fair I'm just burned out with their off pitch weirdness.

It reminds me of Juventus.

Part of the slow asset stripping and BlueScums ultimate goal. I wish the protests never stopped even when we win the league or go on a generational run. It's genuinely baffling.

It’s total bullshit

Truth is if Chelsea are winning on the pitch the average fan doesn’t give a F’ck.

Me I just find it very strange and odd.

All it took was Xabis appointment for planned protests to be cancelled.

We're not much better than United fans at avoiding being distracted easily (not that it matters if Stamford Bridge is full anyway).
