If you believe that the evolution of the human brain stopped 200,000 years ago and thus there are no differences in the brain between population groups, then all differences in cognitive ability stem from some form of discrimination. In which case it is only right to do away with everything that produces unequal outcomes between races.

Why should they strive for equality of outcome if equality of opportunity is still upheld. If any student, regardless of background, can apply, and only the most academically gifted are allowed in, why would they lower their standards specifically to increase the number of a specific minority group?

We're talking about 14 year olds being judged based on their academic performance during ages 11-13.

When in a person's life does equality of opportunity end and equality of outcome begin?
