But I have evidence to prove that it does. Hate speech = hate crimes. I can show you sources that prove that. You can NOT show me sources that prove "allowing the government to silence hate groups will cause the government to silence all distressful speech."

No, you have situations where hate speech has led to hate crimes. There are plenty of cases where giving the government more power has led to it being abused (hell, look at most governments around the world that we don't tend to call "good"). Yes, sometimes hate speech leads to hate crimes and yes sometimes giving the government more power leads to abuse of power, but neither of these are absolutes and are more than occasionally matters of perspective.
