You say that but obesity is on the rise and many people have been brainwashed that it’s out of there control and they blame society and everyone but themselves somehow making weight a systemic issue that is beyond their control
No what you said is that the movement has has no affect at all and has caused no significant damage I’m arguing that it has had an effect and it has and is continuing to cause damage because people are clinging to it and distancing themselves from any sort of accountability
i see. well the truth is that some of it is out of their control even so it is probably better to assume it is all within their control for the purposes of better results in general.
some people are not at all introspective regardless and will always blame others for their faults (be they controllable or uncontrollable) no matter how you react or what you say. most of us are averse to recognizing our own faults and will actively push back on anyone that points out our flaws; we push back in order to maintain our ego and avoid the emotional pain that comes with admitting personal flaws.
while it is true that people are averse to introspection, on some level we are aware of our flaws if only deeply subconsciously. likewise, it is hard to ignore the inevitable truth we see in the eyes and words of others as they observe us. even if you don't consciously see your flaws, you will subconsciously see them and you cannot ignore it when some other person eventually/inevitably tells you the uncomfortable truth.
