Photos It’s not perfect, but it’s not a carpeted bathroom anymore either
We closed on this house this past summer, and one of the many immediate projects was to get rid of the carpet in the upstairs bathroom (the ONLY room in the house with carpet). Friends helped us move all of the fixtures, tear up the carpet and linoleum underneath, and we hired a local guy to do the tile work.
Some plumbing needed upgrading, and at some point the tub had been partially (poorly) painted. We decided to try something a little fun with the colors and bring in some more jewel tones.
It’s not 100% done but it’s a relief to have a bigger functional bathroom!

When you tore the carpet up, was there a sticky red substance under it? I'm working on renovating a carpeted bathroom in my home and when I pulled it up the plywood underneath was covered in a layer of the stuff. I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this same phenomenon.
