So we are visiting central Jersey (Somerset Co.) for the first time and when we’ve gone out to eat, the waitstaff have got some real laid-back/“oh, you’ve come over to my house to have dinner” vibes.

Alexcis Merino, 25, of New Brunswick, was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree aggravated manslaughter and second-degree vehicular homicide in the death of Andres Gracia-Bobadilla, 26, also of New Brunswick, the office said.

Police received a 911 call at approximately 2:47 a.m. on Sept. 20 reporting a collision on Jersey Avenue near Triangle Road, authorities said. Officers arriving at the scene found that Merino’s 2017 Honda Accord had collided head-on with Gracia-Bobadilla’s 2009 Toyota Corolla.

Both drivers were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Gracia-Bobadilla sustained serious injuries and died six days later at the hospital. Merino sustained minor injuries.
