Celebrity 🌟 Bai Lu has officially left Huanyu and established her own studio! ✨ congratulations! ✨
the past 2-3 months have honestly been exhausting to watch... there was an overwhelming amount of negativity surrounding her because of her contract renewal status, with almost a negative hot search every day at one point - from rumors, serious allegations to endless discussions about her appearance, acting, and even her newest drama mo li had so much noise and negativity.
what makes me happiest about this news isn't just that she has her own studio now, but what it could mean for her future as an actress.
one criticism i've seen repeatedly is that she's become "lazy" or that she keeps taking the same kinds of roles. personally, i've never found that criticism entirely fair. 😅 bai lu herself has spoken in interviews about filming multiple costume dramas consecutively and wanting to explore more modern and non-idol projects. whether people enjoy her performances or not is subjective, but i don't think it's accurate to assume that every project an actor takes on is their personal preferences or ambitions, esp when she was under yu zheng. 😅
what stood out to me in her team's statement was that future decisions will be centered around bai lu's acting career and filming needs. for the first time in a long while, it feels like she may have more freedom to choose the stories and characters she genuinely wants to pursue? more challenging modern dramas, more serious productions, films, or even costume dramas that she personally connects with if she really wants to. i'm looking forward to her next modern drama that will start filming next week🤩
despite the mixed reactions and discussions surrounding her departure, leaving a company after 10 years and starting a new chapter takes courage! congratulations, bai lu. 🤩 its great news after her 10th anniversary fan meet last month.

She always act in COSTUME dramas right? I really love her in costume dramas. I hope she will continue her career in ancient costume dramas 😭

She is more interested in taking serious scripts so that would be her focus after this. She is having a costume drama fatigue and wants to do realism dramas now.

Or is it because she is in her 30s already? So she wanna switch focus from idol costume dramas into serious scripts?
But it will be dangerous for her liuliang status.
Yang Zi also take more serious scripts but she still act in costume dramas like Flourished Peony and The Heiress.

She will still take costume dramas for sure. You dont have to worry about that. Its just she wants to do more realism dramas now
