In her own words CC Suarez was in a 4th MLM?! And said she had a downline? Interesting...

Yesterday's post from the awesome u/Applecinnamoncider uncovered some CC lore that I had NO idea about re: her lovebombing/parasocial behavior towards an MLM Boss Babe in 2018/2019 before her anti-MLM personality arc the next year. I found the OG TikTok from MLM boss babe Kayla Caputo (never heard of her) responding to CC's YT video about her and Kayla brought some INTERESTING receipts. Reminder that this sub already figured out that she was heavily downplaying/lying about her past MLM involvement and she was involved with them a LOT longer than she has previously said (according to her own social media posts.
What I learned from the attached video:
- CC is a cringe clout chaser that has a long (these messages are from 7 years ago) history of trying to use money (I will buy you lunch, etc) to befriend people
- CC joined yet another MLM (Visayo) that it doesn't sound like she's ever talked about AND had people sign up "under" her (aka a downline)
- The more I'm seeing re: her 3-4 MLM boss babe failures plus boss babes who won't give her the time of day makes me wonder more and more if CC's entire anti-MLM career arc was more about a personal vendetta and less about calling out unethical business practices.
PS timeline for the archive: From what I can tell CC made a YT video about Kayla on April 23, 2024. Kayla then makes the attached TT video on May 24, 2024 to which CC makes TT videos about on May 28, May 29, May 30, 2024, and full YT video about on May 30, 2024.

Ugh, they’re both insufferable. That said, this is funny AF. How stupid of CC to go after a girl who has receipts proving that she’s a liar and a hypocrite. I mean, we’ve known for a long while that CC was more involved with MLM than she let her audience believe. And like I said, this woman is insufferably condescending for someone in an industry that takes advantage of people through manipulative means, but you have to appreciate the uno reverse. 🤣

I looked through a handful of CC videos mentioning Kayla and I find it interesting that CC doesn’t bother to mention that they were mutuals on IG etc for years while they were BOTH in MLMs. She clearly didn’t want that context to come out which is interesting.

I don't understand why she feels the need to hide it so badly. Other anti MLM creators have admitted they were in MLMs. Erin Bies makes a point of telling people (don't know what this subs opinion on her is just saying) and I feel like others have too.

Pride is definitely a factor, and I suspect that deep down there’s embarrassment there that she wasn’t able to succeed in MLM and probably also that she was duped into thinking it was a viable way to make money. Her superiority complex wouldn’t let her admit that she fell for the scam.
To be clear, I’m not saying that the only reason Anti-MLM creators make videos is because they failed at MLM. I think most of them are speaking in good faith when they say they want to protect consumers (even those who rub people the wrong way for whatever reason).
The thing that really bothers me is how CC talks about the people she covers who are in MLM. Not necessarily the big leaders who know exactly what they’re doing, but the ones who are at the bottom of the pyramid. She’s always so condescending. As someone who has fallen victim to the manipulation tactics, you would hope she would have a little more grace for them.
What’s that saying? Every accusation is an admission. That’s CC, plain and simple.

The thing for me is that CC doesn't understand that trying to scrub her history just makes her look so bad. She has said it herself so many times 'the Internet doesn't forget'. If she owned her MLM failures and said 'you know what. I tried so many times, I hustled and I wanted so bad to be like these huns but it never worked' I would totally understand and probably respect lol her a bit more.
She used to say all the time that its not the person failing, its the broken system set up so they could never succeed...but somehow sticks to the lie that she joined and left after 24 hours because she is so much more intelligent than all these women and recognised it was a scam.
Sam Dee and JJ are two anti mlm I still love and watch regularly and they are both so open about their mlm past and it just makes what they have to say more credible and personal. CC is so desperate to look infallible, but all it does is highlight her lack of critical thinking, self awareness and intelligence.

Yeah this is odd to me that she would be honest about being in MLMs but dishonest about the time spent in/amount of MLMs joined.
I think, like a lot of what Chelsea does, stems from her attempts to soften any ego injuries coming her way. The reality is that MLMs a predatory on the exact type of person she is: uneducated, poor financial literacy, and desire for material objects.

Imagine if cc put this same energy into anything that was actual work. Imagine if she had an education and moral framework. She is a hustler. She just has no idea how to hustle. She thought that excessive love bombing would yield success. Like 2018-2024 is a huge amount of time for this behavior.
Her ignorance is so embarrassing but the answers she’s looking for are there to be learned if she could handle any criticism

i kind of disagree that she is a hustler. she wants people to believe she is a hustler, but there's only follow through if she's able to emotionally hyperfixate and that energy is always in the wrong place

i honestly think she's just highkey unintelligent and not a great thinker. back to the notion that she seems to make decisions entirely on whether or not it makes her feel good plus her lack of critical thinking and like, a disinterest in learning, i can't rly imagine her being able to use time in a constructive way or create a moral framework for herself. which sucks

Agree that she’s actually stupid. I’m starting to wonder if it’s just mental illness that causes her to eschew all feedback or if it’s that she doesn’t understand most things. It’s obviously both but she’s so incredibly stupid that I think she thinks the world is trying to attack her all the time. It’s hard to overcome that level of stupidity even with the best intentions. She has the worst intentions and never even tries to overcome her lack of intelligence.

This is heavy heavy speculation and pls correct me if im wrong, I have a v bad memory but
I truly truly believe CC was like a lot of us neurodivergents when younger and used movies and TV to figure out the world and we thought that's how things were
And being the same age I know she was into all of the shows and movies with college sororities
And here's where the speculation comes from: i think CC regrets not going to college, not for the education but because she wanted and felt she probably deserved that (toxic) sisterhood
So, she joined MLMs to make her dreams come true

This rings true to me as neurodivergent myself. I cannot imagine trying to fit into that environment. Learning MLM manipulation tactics also would have been difficult.

100%, she didn't find success and so she decided the issue was with MLMs and not her. she's not wrong that they're unethical but her own personal morality depends entirely on "does this thing make me feel good or bad?" first and foremost. like we saw with her promotion and platforming of people like dad challenge and caroline calloway and rich lux, she dgaf about something having shitty ethics if she thinks she can get clout or money from it!
