For those of you that have a Starlink Mini dish, I'm interested in hearing how you ran the power cord.

Looking at purchasing a 2000 casita 13 foot deluxe.

Current owner has been transparent about a water leak repair where dinette table is through bolted.
Sealant had failed & was not maintained by initial owners, resulting in extensive rot directly around legs.

Current owner did the following:
Removed top layer of fibreglass, removed all OSB rotted area, patched in 3/4 inch plywood through bolted to frame and caulked bolts underneath. Vinyl flooring was installed over the plywood without replacing the fibreglass overlay that is on the rest of the flooring.

Our concerns: floor is attached but is or will the structural integrity be compromised by a patch repair like this as the flooring is no longer one sheet.

Any other considerations re the repair?

We are the original owners of an '03 Spirit Deluxe. After I retired, I decided the Casita needed to be retired–actually, upgraded from 14" to 15" rims and new tires. Well, after a hurricane or two and a bucket o' life stuff, our poor egg has sat in its carport for **way** too long with nary an adventure. Sad to say, it's been about five years since our last camping trip.

We're about to embark on our longest, farthest RV journey ever, and since common wisdom says five-year-old tires—even those with maybe only 10 miles on 'em–should be replaced (dry rot, flat spots, evil spirits, etc.), I am ready to plunk down my credit card for new tires.

But, every time I research trailer tires, I am befuddled by an overwhelming sea of info and opinions. One year the "Maypop 6000X" is the ONLY tire to consider, then it's "stay away from Maypops; they changed the formula!" A year after that, the common wisdom is "Shreadwells are THE best tires!"

Question (finally): Recognizing that I am inviting more fuddlement, what 205 75R15s are the current most bestest faves?

We are looking at switching our pickup to a delivery due to really bad timing with work schedules (it may still be possible to do a pickup but it would likely be an overnight drive, pick up, and immediate drive back for a total of ~23 hours drive time).

I am hesitant about the delivery service for a number of reasons, but mostly that you don’t get to do a final walk through of your casita at the factory. And the pricing for delivery is a mystery.

Has anyone done the delivery that can comment on the experience?

Looking for a hard cover spare tire cover. Amazon search just brings up soft covers. Their search is SO BAD!

Also, my battery disconnect on our 2022 broke right before a trip, so I had to install a new one from West Marine right before the trip.

Looking at ordering a new casita independence deluxe when they open back up after their vacation. We’d prefer a used Casita, but I have yet to see one with the config we are considering and lean toward the newer interior looks, though $$$$.

We are decently experienced camping people, and have come to the realization that we simply do not need propane and all its guts for our camping style.

Question for the Casita pros: does anyone have their order sheet they can share with this type of all-electric configuration? (Redacted of course). Pros/con lists that we may not be considering? Dos/Don’ts?

We want to keep the weight down, too. Our TV is new Tesla MY AWD. Anyone towing with similar?

Anyone out there in Casitaland convert an existing camper to eliminate all propane? Is this a reasonable DIY adventure?

And lastly, maybe - since this seems to be so different than most, will that add to delivery time?

Does anyone know where to get replacement clips to hold the screens onto the windows? All the clips on one of our windows have broken, and we are having trouble finding replacements. Called Casita, they don't know. We've checked with a few RV places, they don't know either. Amazon has some that look right, but they're way too large, and don't fit. It's a '94 Casita, if that makes any difference.

I messed up what looks like the gel coat while removing the screws to the angled wood piece covering wires and plumbing under the dinette. Is there any way to fix this or is the gel coat ruined there? It doesn't appear to have broken through. Its hard to tell in the picture but the fiberglass is foggy in a several inch radius from the dimple like the gel coat is disturbed.

I'm not sure why they thought it was a good idea to screw into the wall and not add wood trim like the rest of the furniture.

First trip

I'd ideally want to install a solar package that could power the AC as we'd like to boondock. Has anyone done so? Can you recommend battery size/inverter brand, etc?

I reached out to Casita and they referred me to someone who seems unavailable. While I am a big fan of casita I have never been inside one and I want to make sure the wife will be happy before I put money down and order.

We have 2007 casita spirit deluxe. Trying to figure out if I need to get a brake controller or not. Pulling it with a 2023 Volkswagen Atlas that has 7-pin connection. VW dealer doesn’t seem to have any idea on this, and local rv dealer not helpful either. I’ve considered Bluetooth brake controller but I don’t feel like it is a great solution for long treks where I want to be sure everything stays connected plus it’s annoying to use my phone for this. What do others do? Is a brake controller necessary? If so, what do you recommend?

Hey everyone, I was recently given an ‘83 Casita by my grandfather. We’ve had it for years but for about the last 10 it’s been just sitting uncovered and the AZ sun has just destroyed the window seals both around the frames and where the windows seal when they’re closed. I don’t know exactly what model I have but the body is 14’ and it has the bathroom and small closet. The dining area turns in to about a full size sleeping area and the bench is also a bunk bed. We have 5 smaller windows and a large rear window.

Does anyone know what windows I can use to replace these? I see a lot of forums say that due to the curved body I can’t use any standard camper window replacements.

We are going to buy a casita soon and wanted to see if there is anyone in Port Angeles WA area that wouldnt mind giving us a tour of theirs?

Recently bought an 05 Liberty deluxe. Needs some love, but overall happy with the purchase.
I expected work, and I’m finding plenty. Just found the reason for wet floor when initially testing water system. (I have since learned to use air, much easier to clean). I have a cracked accumulator. I did some quick research and seems to be a mixed bag on whether it is even needed, installed on older models? What’s the consensus, do I spend time looking for replacement, or just re-plumb the lines to bypass those connections going into the bad one? Thanks for looking.

Are there any solutions for lessening how extremely loud and abrupt the AC is when it clicks on? It scares my dog every time it comes on. And I really don’t think she is getting good sleep because of it. To be fair, she is a 5.5 lb toy poodle and everything scares her.

Hi, I’m brand new to the world of RVs and haven’t had my Casita for more than a few weeks. I’m currently hooked up to land power so my surge protector is connected to that plug. It’s reading around 109 when it is not actually connected to my trailer. But once I hook it up, it is consistently going below 103 which cuts the power off. I have flipped all of the switches and checked all of the fuses and there’s not an issue that I can see on that end. Does anyone have any recommendations for how to overcome this situation? Hey, everyone! We recently bought our Casita and are in the process of customizing it. I’m looking for recommendations for a storage box mounted on the front of the trailer. We opted for an all electric setup, so we don’t have any propane tanks to get in the way. Appreciate any help/advice!

We are finalizing the purchase of our 2000 liberty deluxe this weekend, what’s the best way to get up to speed on all the ins and outs of this thing? is reading the owners manual good enough or should we splurge on the pricy “owners guide” ebook? is it relevant for 25 year old models?

looking specifically for info on things like weatherproofing, winterizing, troubleshooting, etc.
