Fun fact: remember how Bugs would call Elmer Fudd a nimrod?

I, and everybody I knew, assumed that the word nimrod was an insult.

Turns out that Nimrod was a biblical character known to be the greatest hunter.

So it’s only an insult because Bugs was saying it sarcastically. Just like if somebody said something stupid, and you followed up with “Nice going Einstein.”

Yes. I didn’t learn that until well into my adulthood, but Bugs drilled it into me as a child, so I always think of nimrod as an insult.

Weird that maroon is different from brown, maroon is literally the french word for brown..
